How do I search the library catalog?

• Visit http://kutuphane.pau.edu.tr (This page is already open on the catalog search terminals within the library).

• Type the title of the publication or the author's name into the search box at the top of the screen and click the search (magnifying glass) icon.

• You will be redirected to the catalog search page, which opens in a new tab.

• Relevant publications will be listed below.

• Select the desired publication from the list.

• On the details page, if the Status field shows "Merkez Genel Koleksiyon" (Main General Collection), the book is currently available in our library.

• If the Status field shows a date like "Due ... (3/18/2013)", the book is currently on loan and is expected to be returned by the specified date.

How can I place a hold on a book that is currently on loan?

• Visit http://kutuphane.pau.edu.tr.

• Click the "My Library Account" (Kullanıcı Hesabım) button located in the upper right corner of the screen.

• Log in using your username and password (your Pusula credentials).

• Search for the publication or author you wish to reserve, find it in the list, and click the "Place Hold" button next to it.

• Once the book is returned to the library, the system will automatically send you an email notification.

• After receiving the email, the book will be held for you for 5 days. If you do not borrow it by the end of the 5th day, the reservation will be automatically cancelled.

How can I check my library user account?

• Visit http://kutuphane.pau.edu.tr.

• Click the "My Library Account" button in the upper right corner.

• Enter your username and password (your Pusula credentials) in the login box to access your account.

What is the purpose of my library account?

Through your user account, you can view the books currently in your possession, check their due dates, see your borrowing history, renew your loans, place holds on books currently with other readers, and cancel your existing reservations.

How can I change my password?

After logging into your account, you can change your password by following the Personal Information –> Change PIN tabs.

How can I renew the books I have borrowed?

• Visit http://kutuphane.pau.edu.tr.

• Click the "User Operations" (Kullanıcı İşlemleri) button on the right side of the screen.

• Log in by entering your username and password.

• Click the "Checkouts" tab to see the list of books currently in your possession.

• Select the book(s) you wish to renew and click the "Renew" button.

• Once the process is complete, the new due dates will be displayed next to the books.
